now that's what i came to washington to do. that's why for the first time in history my administration posts on our white house visit -- posts all our white house visitors online. that's why we excluded lobbyists from policymaking jobs. but we can't stop there. it's time to require lobbyists to disclose each contact they make on behalf of a client with my administration or with congress. it's time to put strict limits on the contributions the lobbyists give to candidates for federal office. with all due deference to separation of pewers, last week the supreme court reversed a century of law that i believe will open the flood gates for special interests, including foreign corporations, to spend without limit in our elections. i don't think american elections should be bankrolled by america's most powerful interests or worse, by foreign entities. they should be decided by the american people and i urge democrats and republicans to pass the bill that helps correct some of these problems. i'm also calling on congress continue down

we were here in washington d.c. at the steering dade -- serengeti gallery and one of our contributors set that up and it was a brilliant affair. we want you to know the network is working and it has changed our lives and there are people that we love we have a person who is sitting in the front row her name is betty and her husband adam. she had no idea i would mention this but all throughout she lives right down the corridor of where the obama inauguration parade would be going or moving in we were invited to come to her house to overlook the balcony. so daily we were getting photographs we're still in the process of putting up of everything that was happening along the parade route, who was going to be where and what the street looked like. it was absolutely fantastic that this network was keeping us informed as a lever in our pajamas trying to put the book together and the seal the deal. it has been absolutely extraordinary and what we want to talk about is how is this booktv looked at? people who are african-ame

and last week we wereot[ here washington, d.c. -- or the capital heights, maryland, maybe at the gallery an absolutely fantastic place invited to come to her house and overlook from the balcony. and so daily we were getting photographs, which we're in the process even now of still putting up. photographs of everything that was happening along the parade route, who was going to be where, what the street looked like. so it was absolutely fantastic that again this network was keeping us informed as we were in our pajamas trying to put the book together. and trying to seal the deal. it's been an absolutely extraordinary experience. and what we want to talk about also is how is this book to be looked at? people who are in african-american studies, people who are in american studies, cultural studies, women's studies, sociology, feminist studies, gender studies should all be wanting take a look at this book. women who specialize in understanding biography writing, how people write because, you know, the art of writing the letter has gone away. but people remember that. the women out of africa,
